Recreation Safety Patrol

 

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Recreation Safety Patrol has been serving the residents and visitors of Pierce County for over 25 years. The main goal of the Recreation Safety Patrol is to encourage a safer environment for many recreational activities including Boating, Snowmobile, Hunting, and All Terrain Vehicle Operation. The Safety Patrol also performs Search and Rescue Operations including Ice Rescue Procedures.

The goal of a safer recreational environment is achieved through two types of activities, education and enforcement. Currently the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department employs one full-time Deputy who is assisted by other full-time Deputies and part-time deputies to accomplish this task.
