Please properly dispose of your wastes through one of the many opportunities listed below. It is illegal to burn garbage in Pierce County. If you have questions about waste disposal or recycling in Pierce County, contact the Town Clerk or the Pierce County solid Waste/Recycling Department.

The Town of Spring Lake uses the honor system for garbage collection, with the fee of $2 per bag to be put in the lock-box in the door of the Town Hall.  Spring Lake residents may drop off their garbage any time.  The garbage dumpsters are only for typical 30-gallon garbage bags, not tires, mattresses, furniture.  This service is for Spring Lake residents only.

Recyclables may be placed in the recycling bins at any time. These bins are located at the Town Hall. There is no charge for recycling. Please follow the guidelines in the Pierce County Recycling Guide pamphlet located on a board near the recycling bins. Please take the time to place your recyclables in the correct bin. Detailed recycling information can be found in the Pierce County Recycling Guide Pamphlet.

Spring (May) and Fall (September or October) Clean-up days will be scheduled, at which time an attendant will be present from 8am until 4pm. (if you bring items outside of these hours, please put payment in lock-box in door of the Town Hall) SPRING LAKE RESIDENTS can dispose of metals and other non-hazardous materials in the large dumpsters available during Clean-up Days. Pickup loads cost $30 (appliances and tires are not included) and car loads are $10.00. Tire costs and appliances are priced separately.  If you are unable to wait or attend Clean-up Days, you can also contact Pierce County Solid Waste Department, (715) 273-3092, for their hours.
